As an ultrasound technician you should have an interest in science, good communication skills and enjoy working with others. Before attending a college ultrasound technology program you must complete high school or have obtained your GED and you must have passed certain college-preparatory classes, including English, math and science. Next you will need to earn at least a two-year associate degree in ultrasound technology from an accredited college.
As an ultrasound technologist you will perform ultrasound examinations to generate pictures of a person's internal organs or of an unborn baby.
